Provincial minister Syed Fakhar Jehan Conducts Surprise Visit to Shami Road Excise Office, Directs Prompt Public Service Delivery

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, carried out a surprise visit to the Excise Department office at Shami Road, Peshawar.
During his visit, he engaged directly with citizens, inquiring about their issues and issued immediate administrative instructions to ensure swift resolution and enhanced public convenience.
The minister emphasized that every individual visiting the department has the right to respect, dignity and efficient service delivery.
During the visit, the provincial minister personally interacted with citizens seeking various government services, listening to their concerns and issued on-the-spot instructions to relevant officers for prompt redressal of complaints.

He underlined that facilitating citizens and addressing their grievances promptly is a top priority of the government. He directed all officers and staff present to maintain courteous conduct with the public, provide complete guidance to every visitor and ensure that no delays or lapses occur in service delivery.
He stated that government employees are public servants and must perform their duties with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. Any complaint regarding misbehavior, delay or unnecessary inconvenience to the public will not be tolerated in the Excise Department.
The minister also issued several administrative instructions aimed at improving the efficiency of the service delivery system.
He stressed that restoring and strengthening public confidence in the department is essential and can only be achieved through professionalism, transparency and timely, high-quality services.
