Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in roof collapse incidents in various districts of the province following recent rains.
Extending heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families, he said the loss of lives in these tragic incidents is irreparable for the affected families. He added that a total of 17 people, including women and children, have lost their lives as a result of the recent spell of rains.
Shafi Jan said the provincial government stands firmly with the affected families in this difficult time and will not leave them alone. He added that, on the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, timely provision of relief goods to the affected families is being ensured, and all possible assistance will be extended.
He further said that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority and district administrations are actively engaged in relief operations. Across the province, district administrations, Rescue 1122, and other relevant departments have been put on high alert and all available resources are being utilized to deal with any emergency situation.
He added that the best possible medical facilities are being provided to the injured in hospitals. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls, patience for the bereaved families, and the speedy recovery of the injured.
