KP Law Minister Stresses Lasting Peace, Safe Return of Tor Chappar Displaced Families

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Aftab Alam has on Saturday reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to ensure the dignified, safe and sustainable return of the families displaced from Tor Chappar, while emphasizing the need for lasting peace in Dara Adam Khel.
The Minister made the remarks during a meeting with tribal elders, district administration officials and other stakeholders following his visit to a camp housing displaced member of the Tor Chappar community.
The meeting reviewed the area’s security situation, challenges faced by displaced families and prospects for their early return. Participants included Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, the Assistant Commissioner Dara Adam Khel and local elders. Officials and community representatives held detailed discussions on law and order, ongoing security measures and the hardships confronting displaced families. Tribal elders presented their concerns and recommendations regarding peace-building efforts and the rehabilitation process.
Aftab Alam directed ther authorities concerned to take effective measures to address public concerns, strengthen security and facilitate the rehabilitation of affected families.
“The provincial government stands with the displaced families and will utilize all available resources to ensure their dignified, secure and sustainable return,” the Minister said. He stressed that lasting peace, protection of lives and property and social stability in Dara Adam Khel require close cooperation between the local elders and state institutions.
The Minister added that the government would continue coordination and consultations with all relevant stakeholders to resolve the problems faced by the displaced families and promote peace and stability in the region.
