The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has completed the recruitment process for 58 sub-engineers in the Local Government Department through what it described as a fully transparent mechanism.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Local Government Mian Khan Afridi distributed appointment letters among the newly recruited sub-engineers at a ceremony held here in Local Government Secretariat Peshawar.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the recruitment process was conducted strictly through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) to ensure merit and transparency. He emphasised that no compromise was made on standards and that merit remained the sole criterion throughout the process.
Expressing confidence in the newly appointed officers, Mr Afridi said he hoped they would perform their duties with honesty, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. He added that strengthening the technical capacity of the Local Government Department was essential for improving service delivery at the grassroots level.
The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment and institutional reforms, stating that such initiatives were aimed at ensuring efficiency, accountability and better governance across the province.
