Secretary Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperative chair Khuli Kachari, directives Issued for Prompt Resolution of Public Problems

An online Khuli Kachari held under chairmanship of Secretary Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperative, Zareef-ul-Ma‘ani, in line with provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap. During the session, public issues were heard directly. Khuli Kachari was attended by Additional Secretary Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperative, Director General Livestock (Extension) Dr. Asal Khan, Director General Livestock Research Dr. Ijaz Ali, Director General Fisheries Shafi Marwat and Director Livestock Merged Districts Dr. Mir Ahmad along with other senior officials of the department.Addressing the online Khuli Kachari Secretary Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperative Zareef-ul-Ma‘ani said that livestock sector serves as backbone of national economy, with even greater significance in rural areas. Livestock contributes approximately 25 percent to the GDP; however, funding allocation is not commensurate with this share.He added that livestock sector can play a key role in poverty alleviation. In the upcoming review meeting, detailed deliberations will be held on updating district profiles. He further stated that a dedicated app is being introduced for vaccine utilization and monitoring, while new schemes for trained professionals in the veterinary sector will also be launched soon.Secretary livestock directed that veterinary doctors posted at veterinary hospitals must refrain from private practice during official working hours. If, due to necessity, a doctor is required to go on a field visit, at least one veterinary doctor must remain present at the hospital to ensure uninterrupted treatment facilities for livestock farmers. Any negligence in providing public services during official hours will not be tolerated.He further stated that entire leadership of department participated in the Khuli Kachari. Under provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap, this series of online Khuli Kachari will continue regularly at all levels to ensure direct resolution of public issues. He informed that, in addition to calls from stakeholders associated with the livestock sector, calls were also received from departmental employees. department is making serious efforts to resolve employees’ issues, and it has been decided to hold a separate Khuli Kachari specifically for employees. The next open Khuli Kachari will be held for the fisheries sector, while Khuli Kachari will be ensured at all levels for staff.During the online Khuli Kachari members of the public presented their issues related to livestock, fisheries, and cooperatives in detail.Secretary Zareef-ul-Ma‘ani listened attentively to the public grievances and issued immediate directives to the concerned officers for their timely and effective resolution.On the occasion, Secretary Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperative stated that the government is prioritizing the resolution of public issues and purpose of holding Khuli Kachari is to establish direct communication between public and department so that issues can be identified and resolved promptly.He directed that implementation on received complaints must be ensured and that no negligence should be shown in providing relief to the public.
