The Oath-taking ceremony of the All Kohat Bike Union Association was held in Kohat, where Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Special Assistant for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan and Member National Assembly Shahryar Khan Afridi attended as chief guests and underscored the importance of unity, discipline and economic opportunity through local investment.
Newly elected office-bearers of the union, including President Sheikh Rashid, Senior Vice President Wisal Khan, Fahad Paracha and Hayat Bukhari took oath during the event attended by the representatives from business circles, civil society and youth groups.
In his address, Shafi Jan said trade unions and associations play a vital role in resolving collective issues and promoting social harmony. He urged the bike union to actively support traffic discipline, civic awareness and public welfare initiatives, while assuring government cooperation in addressing community concerns.
Shahryar Afridi congratulated the newly elected body and reaffirmed support for youth-led organizations working for constructive social engagement.
Kohat Chamber of Commerce President Rasheed Paracha also backed the initiative, calling for small-scale motorcycle parts manufacturing units and expansion of bike-related service businesses to boost local employment and strengthen the regional economy.
The ceremony concluded with pledges of cooperation among the stakeholders and a commitment to unity and discipline as key drivers of progress.
