Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand visited Peshawar Sports Complex. On this occasion, Director General Sports and other senior officers of the Sports Department were also present.
During the visit, the Sports Advisor made a detailed inspection of various ongoing construction projects in the Sports Complex, especially the construction of the Tartan Track, and reviewed the pace and quality of the work.
Speaking on the occasion, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand directed that all ongoing development projects, including the Tartan Track, be completed as soon as possible. He clarified that no compromise will be made on the quality of the construction work.
The Sports Advisor said that the construction of the Tartan Track is an encouraging and important step for the preparation of the athletes of the province, which will provide international standard facilities to the athletes. He added that highlighting the talents of talented athletes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the world is the top priority of the government.
He directed the officers of the sports department to ensure timely completion and transparency of development projects so that better sports opportunities can be provided to the youth. The sports advisor further said that the tartan track is in the final stages of completion and will be inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi soon.
Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand has said that the provincial government is striving for the promotion of sports.
