Major Action by Excise Bureau of Intelligence, Huge Quantity of Narcotics Recovered, Smuggling Attempt Foiled

The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues its crackdown against narcotics smuggling across the province. In this regard, the Excise Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation carried out a major operation on Eid day and foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of narcotics.

According to details received from the Excise Department, under the supervision of Provincial Incharge Akif Nawaz Khan, the Excise Bureau of Intelligence team conducted an operation near Naguman , Charsadda Road based on secret information.

During the search of a suspicious vehicle bearing registration number AZB-319 Sindh, the team recovered 72 kilograms of charas and 5 kilograms of ice (crystal meth).

Following the incident, a case has been registered at Excise Police Station Peshawar Region for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Officials of the Excise Department stated that, in line with the directives of the provincial government and Minister for Excise Syed Fakhar Jehan, indiscriminate operations against drug dealers and smugglers will continue in order to protect society from the menace of narcotics.
