In a major step towards strengthening anti-narcotics operations and improving law enforcement mechanisms, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has accorded sanction for the establishment of new Excise Police Stations in different districts of the province.
Under the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founding chairman Imran Khan for transparency in governance, improved public service delivery, and a drug-free Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial government under the leadership of the Chief Minister has achieved another important milestone by approving these new police stations.
The approval was made possible through the special interest, continuous efforts, and personal commitment of Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, who played a key role in securing approval for the establishment of new Excise Police Stations in eight districts.
Following the accord of sanction of the Chief Minister, the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has formally issued a notification in this regard.
According to the official notification, the new Excise Police Stations will be established in the districts of Buner, Swabi, Malakand, Chitral, Kohat, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Bannu.
The establishment of these Excise Police Stations will further accelerate operations against drug traffickers and narcotics-related activities while strengthening coordinated anti-drug efforts across the province.
