The Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Arshad Ayub Khan was briefed by the Managing Director of Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation ESEF, Mr. Qaiser Alam, regarding “Outsourcing of Low-Performing Government Schools – Phase I”.
During the briefing, it was informed that the core objective of the government policy is to address the issue of low enrollment in government schools, improve the quality of education, and ensure better utilization of the existing infrastructure. Under Phase-I, 500 schools will be outsourced, while the overall target has been set at 2000 schools. The “Global Virtual School Initiative” was also discussed in detail during the meeting.
