کمشنر ہزارہ ڈویژن فیاض علی شاہ کی زیر صدارت منگل کے روز کمشنر آفس ایبٹ آباد میں ایک ای کھلی کچہری کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈویژن بھر کے ڈپٹی کمشنرز نے آن لائن شرکت کی، جبکہ ڈپٹی کمشنر ایبٹ آباد سرمد سلیم اکرم اور مختلف لائن ڈیپارٹمنٹس کے سربراہان بھی موجود تھے۔ای کھلی کچہری کے دوران کمشنر ہزارہ ڈویژن نے عوام کی جانب سے مختلف محکموں کے خلاف موصول ہونے والی شکایات، آراء اور تجاویز کا جائزہ لیا اور براہ راست لائیو کالز بھی سنی گئیں۔ کمشنر فیاض علی شاہ نے موقع پر ہی متعدد شکایات کے جوابات دیے اور متعلقہ حکام کو ضروری ہدایات جاری کیں۔اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے کمشنر ہزارہ ڈویژن نے کہا کہ ای کھلی کچہری کے انعقاد کا بنیادی مقصد عوامی مسائل سے براہ راست آگاہی حاصل کرنا اور ان کے فوری حل کو یقینی بنانا ہے۔ انہوں نے تمام ڈپٹی کمشنرز اور متعلقہ محکموں کے سربراہان کو ہدایت کی کہ عوامی شکایات کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کیا جائے۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ کمشنر آفس کے دروازے عوام کے لیے ہر وقت کھلے ہیں اور شہری بلا جھجھک اپنے مسائل پیش کر سکتے ہیں۔ موصول ہونے والی شکایات میں زیادہ تر مسائل اشیائے خوردونوش کی قیمتوں، صفائی ستھرائی، تجاوزات، کرایہ ناموں پر عملدرآمد اور ٹریفک سے متعلق تھے۔کمشنر ہزارہ ڈویژن نے سیاحوں کو بہتر سہولیات کی فراہمی کو انتظامیہ کی ذمہ داری قرار دیتے ہوئے واضح کیا کہ ٹریفک قوانین کی خلاف ورزی کی صورت میں قانونی کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ عیدالفطر کے موقع پر ٹرانسپورٹ کرایوں کی سخت مانیٹرنگ کی جائے گی اور زائد کرایہ وصول کرنے والوں کے خلاف بلاامتیاز کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔انہوں نے ہدایت کی کہ ای کھلی کچہری میں موصول ہونے والی تمام شکایات متعلقہ محکموں کو ارسال کی جائیں اور ان پر کی گئی کارروائی سے شکایت کنندگان کو آگاہ رکھا جائے۔ مزید برآں، تمام ڈپٹی کمشنرز کو ہدایت کی گئی کہ عوامی شکایات پر قانون کے مطابق کارروائی کرتے ہوئے انصاف کے تقاضوں کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے تاکہ شہریوں کو ان کے بنیادی حقوق کی فراہمی ممکن ہو سکے۔
Review of Peshawar Revitalisation Plan Progress, Chief Secretary Directs Acceleration of Work
Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah, on Tuesday chaired an important meeting to review progress on the Peshawar Revitalization Plan, directing all concerned departments to expedite work and ensure timely completion of projects.
The meeting was attended by secretaries and officials of relevant departments, who briefed the chair on various ongoing and planned initiatives aimed at restoring the historical grandeur and improving the overall urban landscape of the provincial capital.
It was informed that, on the directives of the Chief Minister, all concerned departments are working on a priority basis to fast-track projects under the revitalization plan. The initiative envisages a comprehensive uplift of the city, focusing on beautification, infrastructure development, and improved civic amenities.
According to the briefing, the plan encompasses multiple projects being executed by the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP), Public Health Engineering Department, Local Council Board, Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar, Irrigation Department, Communication and Works (C&W) Department, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority.
The meeting was told that PDA schemes have been divided into two priority phases, while work on the design of underpasses along the Peshawar Ring Road is underway. In addition, uplift of 34 public parks and improvement of 35 key roads are also part of the plan.
Officials further informed that feasibility studies for additional underpasses at key congestion points are being prepared to address traffic bottlenecks.
Rehabilitation of major arteries including GT Road and Ring Road, construction of link roads, installation of streetlights, and development of green belts are also included in the initiative.
The construction of a link road from Hayatabad Industrial Estate to Northern Bypass is another significant component of the plan, aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic flow.
The meeting was also apprised that proposals are under consideration for the development and beautification of roads along the Kabul River Canal and Warsak Lift Canal. Furthermore, new water supply schemes, along with the rehabilitation of existing ones, are being undertaken to ensure improved service delivery to residents.
Emphasizing the importance of timely execution, the Chief Secretary directed all departments to accelerate implementation and maintain strict oversight. A comprehensive tracking sheet has also been developed to monitor progress and ensure effective coordination among stakeholders.

KP Food Authority Launches province-wide 4-day drive ahead of Eid on CM’s directives
On the directives of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority, in collaboration with the district administration, has launched a province-wide four-day special campaign ahead of Eidul Fitr.
According to the Food Authority officials, the drive, which commenced on March 17, involves inspections of various food businesses across the province. The campaign will focus on monitoring the quality of cooking oil, storage systems of food items, and compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
A spokesperson for the Authority said that during the campaign, bakeries, sweet shops, hotels, and other food points will be thoroughly inspected, with special emphasis on cooking oil being used. Strict monitoring will be ensured to guarantee implementation of hygiene protocols.
Director General Food Authority, Kashif Iqbal Jilani, warned that all food businesses must strictly comply with hygiene standards, otherwise legal action will be taken. He reiterated that no leniency will be shown to those playing with public health.
He further appealed to the public to report any violations of hygiene standards to the Food Authority so that timely action can be ensured.

ہوائی فائرنگ خوشی کے روپ میں چھپا ناسور

ہوائی فائرنگ ایک ایسا ناسور ہے جو خوشی کے لمحات کو پل بھر میں ماتم میں بدل دیتا ہے۔ اس فعل کو محض ایک روایت یا شوق سمجھنا دراصل انسانی زندگیوں سے کھیلنے کے مترادف ہے۔ بندوق سے نکلنے والی گولی جب فضا سے کششِ ثقل کے باعث واپس زمین کا رخ کرتی ہے، تو وہ کسی بھی معصوم کی زندگی کا چراغ گل کرنے کی پوری صلاحیت رکھتی ہے۔
اب جبکہ عید کی آمد آمد ہے، انتظامیہ کو چاہیے کہ وہ فوری طور پر اسلحہ نما کھلونوں کے خلاف سخت کریک ڈاؤن شروع کرے اور ان کی فروخت پر مکمل پابندی عائد کی جائے۔ یہی کھلونے بچوں کے ذہنوں میں بچپن ہی سے ہوائی فائرنگ ،اسلحے کا شوق اور پرتشدد رجحانات کا بیج بوتے ہیں، جو آگے چل کر معاشرے کے لیے خطرہ بن جاتے ہیں۔
بچوں میں اس زہریلے شوق کی دوسری بڑی وجہ یہ بھی ہے کہ جب وہ اپنے بڑوں کو خوشی کے مواقع پر فخر کے ساتھ اسلحہ لہراتے دیکھتے ہیں، تو ان کے کچے ذہنوں میں یہ تاثر پختہ ہو جاتا ہے کہ طاقت کا اصل اظہار اسی میں ہے۔ جب ایک بچہ دیکھتا ہے کہ فائرنگ کرنے والے شخص کو محفل میں “بہادر” تسلیم کیا جا رہا ہے، تو وہ لاشعوری طور پر اسی غلط اور خطرناک راستے کا انتخاب کر لیتا ہے۔
اس ناسور سے جان چھڑانے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ ہر یونین کونسل کی سطح پر پولیس فورس کی نگرانی میں علاقے کے معززین اور مشران پر مشتمل خصوصی کمیٹیاں تشکیل دی جائیں، جو مقامی سطح پر ہوائی فائرنگ کی روک تھام کے لیے اپنا اثر و رسوخ استعمال کریں۔ تعلیمی اداروں اور علمائے کرام کا کردار اس ضمن میں کلیدی اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔ اسکولوں میں بچوں کو اسلحے کے مہلک نقصانات سے آگاہ کرنا چاہیے تاکہ وہ شعوری طور پر اس سے نفرت کریں۔ مساجد کے منبر سے یہ پیغام عام ہونا چاہیے کہ دوسروں کی جان کو خطرے میں ڈالنا اخلاقی اور مذہبی طور پر ایک سنگین جرم ہے اور اس کی اسلام میں کوئی گنجائش نہیں ریاست کو بھی اپنی رٹ قائم کرتے ہوئے قانون کی گرفت کو سخت کرنا ہوگا۔ ہوائی فائرنگ کرنے والوں کے خلاف بلا امتیاز کارروائی، بھاری جرمانے اور اسلحہ لائسنس کی فوری منسوخی وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔ پولیس کی بروقت کارروائی، مشران کی کمیٹیاں اور عوامی بیداری ہی وہ واحد راستہ ہے جس سے ہم اپنی نسلوں کو اس خونی کھیل سے محفوظ رکھ سکتے ہیں
آخر میں یہ بتاتا چلوں کہ “خوشی بانٹنے کا نام ہے، چھیننے کا نہیں”۔ ہمیں مل کر ایک ایسے معاشرے کی بنیاد رکھنی ہے جہاں عید پر آسمان سے گولیاں نہیں بلکہ امن و سلامتی کی دعائیں نازل ہوں۔

According to the notification, the second meeting of the committee, chaired by Provincial Minister for Law Aftab Alam, will be held on Monday, 16 March 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Conference Room of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The special committee was constituted by Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati to ensure transparent investigation and to bring the facts surrounding the incident to light, with the objective of determining responsibility and taking effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
During the meeting, the committee members will be briefed on the latest developments and progress in the investigations related to the Radio Pakistan incident that occurred on 9 and 10 May 2023. The committee will also conduct a detailed review of various aspects of the matter.
Several honorable Members of the Provincial Assembly will attend the meeting and deliberate on the progress of the case as well as the future course of action.
Imran Khan Govt adjusted Rs24 per Litre Fuel Price without Additional Taxes, Current Government Forced to Absorb Rs23 Billion Gap: KP Finance Minister Muzzammil Aslam
Finance Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muzzammil Aslam reacted to what he described as the “halal and haram adjustment” in petroleum products and said that during the tenure of Imran Khan, when oil prices reached $120 doller per barrel, a Rs24 per litre adjustment was made, which was managed without imposing additional taxes on consumers. At that time, he said, the media and opposition termed the move “haram” and against the International Monetary Fund program.
Muzzammil Aslam said the government today is facing almost the same situation in petroleum products and has been forced to cover a Rs23 billion gap, which amounts to Rs75 per litre on diesel and Rs50 per litre on petrol. However, he added that today the media and the government will call it a “halal adjustment.”
The KP finance minister further said that Imran Khan had reduced the petroleum levy and sales tax on petroleum products to zero, whereas the current government is charging Rs105 per litre levy on petrol and Rs55 per litre on diesel.
He added that, on the other hand, oil marketing companies (OMCs) and refineries have hit a jackpot due to existing oil stocks, and their profits have exceeded Rs100 billion.
Aslam also said that the price of kerosene oil has been increased by another Rs39 per litre, taking it to Rs358 per litre, while within a week the price of kerosene has nearly doubled with an increase of about Rs170 per litre.
He said kerosene oil is mostly used by the poor, yet its price has been raised even higher than petrol and diesel, adding that such a massive increase in kerosene prices has been witnessed for the first time in Pakistan’s history.
