The Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretariat has issued a notification regarding the meeting of the Special Committee constituted to review the Radio Pakistan incident. According to the notification, the second meeting of the committee, chaired by Provincial Minister for Law Aftab Alam, will be held on Monday, 16 March 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Conference Room of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The special committee was constituted by Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati to ensure transparent investigation and to bring the facts surrounding the incident to light, with the objective of determining responsibility and taking effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
During the meeting, the committee members will be briefed on the latest developments and progress in the investigations related to the Radio Pakistan incident that occurred on 9 and 10 May 2023. The committee will also conduct a detailed review of various aspects of the matter.
Several honorable Members of the Provincial Assembly will attend the meeting and deliberate on the progress of the case as well as the future course of action.
