Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, has said that fear of PTI Founder Chairman Imran Khan has forced federal and Punjab ministers to hold press conferences repeatedly. He said that the people of Pakistan rejected the false and fabricated propaganda of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the general elections.
Responding to the continuous allegations by Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari and Parliamentary Secretary Daniyal Chaudhry, Shafi Jan has said that the leadership and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were subjected to political victimization through fabricated cases after the incident of May 9. He said that PML-N leaders have forgotten the fact that the nation gave its mandate to Founder Chairman Imran Khan in the general elections; that is why the opponents are persistently politicizing the May 9 incidents.
He demanded that the federal government constitute a judicial commission on the May 9 incidents so that the truth can be clearly established. Speaking about PTI’s performance, the Special Assistant said that due to better governance and practical performance, the public still places its trust in PTI. During Imran Khan’s tenure in the Federal, industries were revived and the national economy was on the path to growth. Unfortunately, after Imran Khan was removed, the group forcibly imposed on the federation pushed the country’s economy to the brink of destruction.
Shafi Jan further said that the high morale, determination, and courage of Founder Chairman Imran Khan have panicked the corrupt clique imposed on the federation and Punjab; they have become mentally disturbed. He said that PML-N attacked the Supreme Court in the past and today is targeting the Constitution through constitutional amendments.
Shafi Jan advised PML-N to stop leveling allegations against PTI and instead answer the nation regarding its own performance and corruption cases. Criticizing Uzma Bukhari, the Special Assistant said that in the federal government’s Rs 5,300 billion corruption, Uzma Bukhari has also emerged as a partner in crime. The IMF issued a report regarding the federal government, yet explanations are being given by the spokesperson of the Punjab government.
He said that due to collusion by the corrupt clique forcibly imposed on the federation and Punjab, the national economy has been completely devastated, while informal contacts with the Modi government have also long been a practice of this same corrupt group.
Talking about the corruption of the PML-N government, Shafi Jan said that those whose own corruption has been exposed in IMF reports are today delivering lectures on transparency. The real architects of corruption are sitting in power and lying to the nation. However, accountability of those who looted the national treasury has become inevitable, and the nation will certainly hold them to account.
In conclusion, he warned PML-N ministers that those who indulge in luxuries at the cost of public money will not last much longer and will surely be brought within the grip of accountability. Pakistan cannot afford to bear the burden of more corrupt rulers, he said.
