Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Science, Technology & Information Technology Shafi Jan has strongly condemned the IED blast targeting a police vehicle in the Bahadur Khel area of Karak and expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of the police driver in the incident.
In a statement issued here, Minister Shafi Jan paid tribute to the sacrifice of the martyred police driver, saying that the attack on the police vehicle was an extremely tragic, cowardly and condemnable act.
He said that terrorist elements could not demoralize the government or the police through such cowardly acts. “The terrorists will never succeed in achieving their nefarious objectives through such cowardly attacks,” he added.
The provincial minister said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police had rendered unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and the sacrifices of the martyred police personnel would never go in vain.
Shafi Jan said that the provincial government stands with the bereaved family of the martyred police official in this hour of grief and sorrow and would not leave them alone.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and fortitude for his bereaved family. He also expressed his best wishes for the early recovery of the six police personnel injured in the blast.
