مشیر خزانہ خیبرپختونخوا مزمل اسلم کی زیر صدارت پشاور ناردرن بائی پاس منصوبہ پر مزید پیشرفت کیلئے ایک اعلی سطح اجلاس منعقد ہوا جس میں سیکرٹری پلاننگ اینڈ ڈیویلپمنٹ عدیل شاہ، کمشنر پشاور ریاض محسود، ڈپٹی کمشنر پشاور ثناء اللہ خان، ہیڈ ڈیبٹ منیجمنٹ یونٹ خیبرپختونخوا عبدالقیوم، ممبر نارتھ نیشنل ہائی وے اتھارٹی، پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر ناردرن بائی پاس کے حکام شریک تھے جبکہ زوم پر وزیراعظم انسپکشن ٹیم کے افسران اور وزرات مواصلات کے حکام نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔مشیر خزانہ خیبرپختونخوا مزمل اسلم نے کہا کہ نادرن بائی پاس وفاقی منصوبہ خیبرپختونخوا بالخصوص پشاور کیلئے گیم چینجر ہے جو وفاقی حکومت کی جانب سے فنڈز عدم فراہمی کی وجہ سے تاخیر کا شکار تھا جس کیلئے صوبائی حکومت وفاقی حکومت کو قرض دے کر بریج فنانسنگ سے مکمل کیا جائے گا۔ اجلاس میں نیشنل ہائی وے اتھارٹی کی حکام کو ٹاسک دیا گیا کہ 3 ارب90کروڑ روپے کے چار پیکیجز بنائے جائیں گے کسی بھی پیکیج کی تکمیل پر فنڈز فوری ادا کئے جائیں گے جس کیلئے بینک گارنٹی بھی موجود ہوگی۔اجلاس میں تجویز دکیا گیا کہ محکمہ خزانہ و محکمہ منصوبہ بندی و ترقی خیبرپختونخوا، وزیراعظم آفس اور وزرات مواصلات اسلام آباد کے درمیان ایک معاہدہ ہوگا جس میں صوبائی حکومت کی طرف سے ناردرن بائی پاس منصوبہ کیلئے بریج فنانسنگ اور بینک گارنٹی کا طریقہ کار وضع کیا جائے گا اور طے کیا جائے گا کہ وفاقی حکومت اس بریج فنانسنگ کے فنڈز کو خیبرپختونخوا حکومت کو کس طریقہ کار کے تحت واپس کرے گی۔

وزیر اعلیٰ خیبر پختونخوا کے مشیر برائے کھیل و امور نوجوانان تاج محمد خان ترند نے کہا ہے کہ صوبائی حکومت کھیلوں کے میدانوں کی تعمیر کیلئے خصوصی اقدامات اٹھارہی ہے اس حوالے سے سالانہ ترقیاتی پروگرام میں خطیر رقم مختص کی گئی ہیں۔ضم اضلاع کی ہر تحصیل کی سطح پر سپورٹس گراونڈ کی تعمیر پر کام کی رفتار کو تیز کیا جائے اور ضلع بٹگرام میں سپورٹس کمپلیکس کی تعمیر کیلئے خصوصی اقدامات اٹھانے کی بھی ہدایت جاری کی ہیں۔ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے منگل کے روز سیکرٹری کھیل کے دفتر میں منعقدہ اے ڈی پی 2026-27 کے جائزہ اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کیا۔اس موقع پر سیکرٹری کھیل اومور نوجوانان محمد آصف،ڈی جی سپورٹس تاشفین حیدر،ڈائریکٹر یوتھ آفئیرز ڈاکٹر نعمان مجاہد اور احساس نوجوان پروگرام کے حکام نے بھی شرکت کی۔اجلاس میں حکام نے مشیر کھیل کو صوبہ اور ضم اضلاع میں جاری ترقیاتی سکیموں،یوتھ ایمپاورنمنٹ پراجیکٹ،جوان مرکز،گرینڈ پشاور یوتھ کمپلیکس،ضم اضلاع میں کھیلوں کی سرگرمیوں کی ڈیجیٹائزیشن،ضم اضلاع میں تحصیل سطح پلے گراونڈز،مانسہرہ،چترال اپر،دیر لوئر اور سپورٹس کمپلیکس بٹگرام اور ضلع خیبر میں ملٹی پرپوز انڈور جمنازیم کی تعمیر کے حوالے سے تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔اس موقع پر مشیر کھیل تاج محمد خان ترند نے کہا ہے صوبائی حکومت کھیلوں کی میدانوں کی تعمیر میں سنجیدہ ہے اورمحکمک کھیل صوبہ میں جاری پلے گراونڈز پرکام کی رفتار کو تیز کیا جائے۔انہوں نے مزید کہا ہے کہ ہر تحصیل کے سطح پر کھیلوں کی میدان کی تعمیر لازمی ہے اور اس حوالے سے فی الفور ضروری اقدامات اٹھانے کی ہدایت کردی۔انکا کہنا تھا کہ وزیر اعلیٰ کی قیادات میں کھیلوں کے میدانوں کو آباد کریں گے اور نوجوانوں کو مثبت سرگرمیوں کی طرف راغب کرکے منشیات اور دیگر معاشرتی مسائل سے چٹھکارا دلائیں گے۔

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is fully committed to promoting tourism as a key pillar of economic growth, employment generation and projection of the province’s positive image at national and international levels, said Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan.
He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, blessed with natural beauty, rich historical heritage and strong cultural values, needs to be projected as a peaceful and attractive destination to the world.

In this context, the holding of International Tourism Conference and Exhibition in Peshawar is a milestone towards showcasing the province’s immense tourism potential.

Addressing the ceremony as chief guest at the International Tourism Conference and Exhibition held at a private hotel in Peshawar on Tuesday, the Provincial Minister said that such tourism conferences were previously held in other cities outside the province. However, organizing a global-level tourism conference and exhibition in Peshawar to highlight Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tourism heritage and opportunities to the world is a highly commendable and welcome initiative.

He appreciated the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, the organizer Pakistan Media Development Foundation and other supporting organizations for successfully arranging the conference.

He also thanked the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its active participation, emphasizing that close coordination between the public and private sectors is essential for the promotion of tourism.

On the occasion, the Provincial Minister visited various stalls showcasing historical, cultural and tourism sites and crafts from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of the country and expressed keen interest in the displays.

The conference was attended by US Consul General in Peshawar Thomas Eckert, Director General KP Culture and Tourism Authority Usman Mahsud, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Junaid Altaf, former Chamber President Ghaznfar Bilour, Head of Pakistan Media Development Foundation Durdana Shahab, officials of government and various organizations, media representatives and people from different walks of life.

In his address, Syed Fakhar Jehan recalled that during his previous tenure as Provincial Minister for Sports, major cultural events such as the Horse and Cattle Show in Peshawar and large-scale event of Derjat at Dera Ismail Khan were organized, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the country.This, he said, clearly demonstrates that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a peaceful and suitable province for tourism and cultural activities.

He said that through this conference, a clear message is being conveyed to people across Pakistan to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, enjoy its hospitality, natural beauty and scenic landscapes and experience its rich culture firsthand.Highlighting the province’s cultural strength, he added, would help project a positive image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the global level.

He said that the provincial government is providing a conducive environment for business activities, investment and industrial growth, adding that last year the provincial government established a provincial transmission company, through which electricity generated in the province will be supplied to industries at affordable rates.

The project will initially be launched in Swat region, which will directly benefit the tourism industry and further promote tourism activities.

He further said that the provincial government has launched a Tourism Maizban (Host) Program, under which interest-free loans of up to Rs 3 million are being provided through the Bank of Khyber. These loans will be repayable over five years, enabling local communities to establish two-room accommodation facilities at tourist destinations.

This initiative will play a vital role in promoting eco-tourism, while also helping conserve natural beauty. So far, 81 individuals have benefited from this scheme.

Syed Fakhar Jehan also said that two Adventure Tourism Schools have been established in the province, where training in paragliding and other adventure activities will be provided. Youth from across the country will come to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to receive professional training in these fields.

He added that for the first time, the provincial government has introduced the concept of Integrated Tourism Zones, for which feasibility studies of Ghanol, Mankial, Thandiani and Madaklasht have been completed. Modern facilities will be developed at these locations to promote organized and sustainable tourism.

The Provincial Minister concluded that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in natural resources and possesses immense potential in key sectors such as tourism, hydropower and gas. The government is implementing a comprehensive strategy to develop all sectors, and in the coming years, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will emerge as a major driver of Pakistan’s economic growth.

Provincial Minister for Irrigation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Riaz Khan met with various delegations and members of the public from different parts of the province at his office in Peshawar, where they apprised him of their issues and concerns. On this occasion, Chairman DDAC Buner Kabir Khan and Member of the Provincial Assembly Mian Sharafat Ali Khan also met the Provincial Minister. During the meeting, the elected representatives held detailed discussions on political matters, important issues, and ongoing as well as proposed development projects. Important decisions were taken in the public interest. Provincial Minister Riaz Khan listened attentively to the problems of the citizens one by one and issued directives to the concerned authorities for immediate and effective action. Speaking on the occasion Provincial Minister Riaz Khan said that public service is the core mission of their politics, and the provincial government firmly believes in serving the people. He stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes in equal welfare, merit, and justice for both the rich and the poor, and that the vision of leader Imran Khan remains their guiding principle.
The Provincial Minister further said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi, on the instructions of Founder Chairman Imran Khan is leading the Street Movement in an organized and effective manner, with thousands of workers actively participating. He informed that in connection with the Street Movement, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, Provincial President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Junaid Akbar Khan, along with other party leadership, will visit Malakand Division on January 25.
All district and tehsil office-bearers of Swat and Shangla, along with workers from the Youth Wing, ISF, ILF, and all other subsidiary organizations, have been directed to ensure their participation at Qambar Bypass, Mingora, at 10:00 am. The grand Street Movement rally will start from Qambar Bypass, Mingora. Workers from District Buner will welcome the Chief Minister at Barikot at 11:00 am, while workers from Thana Batkhela will be present at 1:00 pm for a grand reception. The rally will conclude at Chakdara. The Provincial Minister said that until the supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law is established in the country, the people will not receive their rightful due. He added that the struggle for this cause will continue. He also demanded the immediate release of leader Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

An important meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Legislation was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Law Aftab Alam at the Law Department’s conference room.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzammil Aslam, Secretary Law Department, Secretary Board of Revenue, representatives of the Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Office, senior officials of the Establishment Department, and officers of the Law Department.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the agenda item concerning the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Land Acquisition (Amendment) Bill 2025. The committee thoroughly reviewed the proposed amendments from legal, administrative, and financial perspectives. Various proposals aimed at making the existing land acquisition system more effective, transparent, and public-friendly were also discussed in detail.
Addressing the meeting, Law Minister Aftab Alam stated that aligning provincial laws with modern requirements is a top priority of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. He directed that public interest, transparency, and constitutional requirements must be strictly ensured in the proposed legislation.
The meeting also discussed issues faced by the Revenue Department in matters related to private land partition, the review of the Succession Certificate Act from different perspectives, and the need to align proposed amendments with ground realities. In this regard, a proposal was presented to constitute a sub-committee to examine the matter in depth.
Participants were informed that introducing reforms in the land acquisition system would help ensure the timely and effective resolution of public grievances.
On the occasion, the Law Minister remarked that previous governments had shown limited priority toward legislative reforms; however, the present government is fully committed to introducing effective and updated legislation.
The meeting unanimously agreed that after incorporating input from all relevant departments, the amendment bill would be finalized and presented before the provincial cabinet for approval.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan, on Tuesday held a meeting in his office with a representative delegation of (PHED) Workers Welfare Association. The delegation was led by the association’s Patron-in-Chief, Pir Gul Ali Shah Marwat.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Provincial Minister in detail about various issues and demanded to solve their issues.

The delegation said that the post of operator BPS-6-PBS in PHE department has been abolished, while the KP finance department has converted this post into operator-cum-valveman BPS-3. Therefore, a general order should be issued to fill all long-vacant posts under BPS-3.

The delegation further demanded that, in order to make water supply schemes effective and functional, landowners should be appointed on operator posts at tube well, an 8 percent quota should be allocated for all qualified diploma holders for appointment to the post of Sub-Engineer, duty timings of operational staff (operators, chowkidars and valvemen) should be formally fixed, approval should be granted for four supervisor posts at tehsil level in each division and operational staff should be deployed to make water supply schemes functional in the merged tribal districts.

On the occasion, Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan clarified that the first right to appointment on operator posts at tube wells rests with the landowner, and no unrelated person will be given preference over the landowner.

He emphasized that no irregularity or malpractice will be tolerated in PHE department.

The Provincial Minister assured the delegation that sincere efforts would be made to resolve their genuine demands in accordance with the provincial government’s policy, and that priority would be given to improving water supply schemes and addressing the issues of departmental employees.

محکمہ موسمیاتی تبدیلی، جنگلات، ماحولیات و جنگلی حیات خیبرپختونخوا نے ارندو گول، ضلع چترال میں جنگلات کی مبینہ کٹائی اور لکڑی کی اسمگلنگ سے متعلق گردش کرنے والی خبروں کو حقائق کے منافی اور بے بنیاد قرار دیتے ہوئے واضح کیا ہے کہ صوبے بھر میں غیر قانونی کٹائی پر مکمل اور بلاامتیاز پابندی نافذ ہے، جس پر سختی سے عمل درآمد یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے۔ سیکرٹری جنگلات خیبرپختونخوا جنید خان نے کہا کہ صوبائی حکومت کی لکڑی کی اسمگلنگ کے خلاف زیرو ٹالرنس پالیسی ہے اور اس ضمن میں کسی قسم کی رعایت یا چشم پوشی نہیں برتی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ جنگلات قومی اثاثہ ہیں اور ان کا تحفظ حکومت کی اولین ترجیح ہے۔سیکرٹری جنگلات کے مطابق ارندو کا معاملہ گزشتہ دو دہائیوں سے زیر التوا چلا آ رہا ہے، جس کے تاریخی، جغرافیائی اور سماجی پہلوؤں کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے ایک جامع، پائیدار اور مشاورتی پالیسی ترتیب دی جا رہی ہے، تاکہ مسئلے کا دیرپا اور قانونی حل ممکن بنایا جا سکے۔ محکمہ جنگلات نے بتایا کہ ارندو اور اس سے ملحقہ علاقوں میں لکڑی کی غیر قانونی نقل و حمل کی روک تھام کے لیے متعدد چیک پوسٹس فعال ہیں جبکہ جدید نگرانی کے نظام کے تحت مسلسل مانیٹرنگ بھی کی جا رہی ہے، تاکہ کسی بھی غیر قانونی سرگرمی کو بروقت روکا جا سکے۔ مزید بتایا گیا کہ ارندو پالیسی کی تیاری کے عمل میں تمام متعلقہ اسٹیک ہولڈرز—جن میں مقامی آبادی، منتخب نمائندے اور متعلقہ ادارے شامل ہوں گے—کو اعتماد میں لیا جائے گا، تاکہ فیصلے شفاف، متوازن اور عوامی مفاد کے مطابق ہوں۔ سیکرٹری جنگلات جنید خان نے اس موقع پر یہ بھی واضح کیا کہ اپ اسکیلنگ گرین پاکستان پراجیکٹ (UGPP) کو ارندو گول کے حوالے سے آزادانہ جائزہ رپورٹ تیار کرنے کی ہدایت جاری کر دی گئی ہے۔ یہ ٹیم موقع کا تفصیلی معائنہ کر کے اپنی رپورٹ محکمہ موسمیاتی تبدیلی کو ارسال کرے گی، تاکہ حقائق کی روشنی میں آئندہ کا لائحہ عمل طے کیا جا سکے۔ محکمہ جنگلات نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ شفافیت، احتساب، قانون کی بالادستی اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ صوبائی حکومت کی مجموعی حکمتِ عملی کا بنیادی حصہ ہیں۔ جنگلات کے تحفظ کے لیے تمام قانونی وسائل بروئے کار لائے جائیں گے اور کسی کو قانون سے بالاتر نہیں سمجھا جائے گا۔ آخر میں محکمہ موسمیاتی تبدیلی، جنگلات، ماحولیات و جنگلی حیات خیبرپختونخوا نے واضح پیغام دیا کہ“سرسبز خیبرپختونخوا — محفوظ مستقبل”صوبائی حکومت کا غیر متزلزل عزم ہے، جس کے لیے ہر ممکن اقدام کئے جائیں گے۔

وزیراعلیٰ خیبرپختونخوا کے معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات و تعلقات عامہ شفیع جان نے کہا ہے کہ کل بروز منگل بانی چیئرمین پاکستان تحریک انصاف عمران خان سے ملاقات کے لیے ان کی بہنیں اڈیالہ جیل جائیں گی جبکہ اس موقع پر پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے منتخب اراکین اسمبلی اور کارکنان بھی اظہار یکجہتی کے لیے موجود ہوں گے۔یہاں سے جاری اپنے بیان میں معاون خصوصی نے کہا کہ بانی چیئرمین عمران خان سے سیاسی قیادت اور اہل خانہ کی ملاقات کے حوالے سے واضح عدالتی احکامات موجود ہیں اس کے باوجود پنجاب پر قابض مسلم لیگ (ن) کی حکومت پر ہفتے عدالتی احکامات کی دھجیاں اڑا رہی ہے جو نہ صرف آئین و قانون کی کھلی خلاف ورزی ہے بلکہ جمہوری اقدار کی بھی پامالی ہے،شفیع جان نے کہا کہ بغیر عوامی مینڈیٹ کی پنجاب پر قابض ن لیگی حکومت بانی چیئرمین عمران خان کے اہل خانہ، سیاسی قیادت اور وکلاء کو ملاقات سے مسلسل روک کر کھلی فسطائیت کا مظاہرہ کر رہی ہے انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ عمران خان سے ملاقات سیاسی قیادت، وکلاء اور اہل خانہ کا بنیادی اور قانونی حق ہے جسے طاقت کے زور پر سلب نہیں کیا جا سکتا،معاون خصوصی نے کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف ایک پُرامن، آئینی اور جمہوری سیاسی جماعت ہے لیکن جعلی پنجاب حکومت کی ایما پر پنجاب پولیس پرامن کارکنوں اور خواتین پر واٹر کینن جیسے ہتھکنڈے استعمال کر رہی ہے جو سیاسی انتقام کی بدترین مثال ہے،انہوں نے کہا کہ عمران خان آج بھی عوام کے دلوں کی آواز ہیں انہیں تنہا کرنے کی تمام سازشیں ناکام ہوں گی اور جعلی پنجاب و وفاقی حکومتیں جتنا بھی ظلم کر لیں عمران خان کے لیے عوامی حمایت کو دبایا نہیں جا سکتا، شفیع جان نے کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف آئین، قانون اور جمہوریت کی بالادستی پر مکمل یقین رکھتی ہے اور عمران خان سمیت دیگر اسیر قیادت کی رہائی کے لیے پُرامن، آئینی، قانونی اور سیاسی جدوجہد پوری قوت کے ساتھ جاری رکھے گی انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اگر وفاقی اور پنجاب حکومتیں سیاسی انتقام کی بجائے گورننس پر توجہ دیتیں تو آج ملک معاشی طور پر مستحکم ہوتا مگر بدقسمتی سے وفاقی حکومت عوام دوست پالیسیوں کی بجائے سیاسی انتقام میں اندھی ہو چکی ہے جس کا خمیازہ عوام مہنگائی اور بے روزگاری کی صورت میں بھگت رہے ہیں۔

On the instructions of the Provincial Minister for Education of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arshad Ayub Khan, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, District Swabi, is organizing a live session under the “Education Morning Hour” for the immediate resolution of issues faced by teachers, non-teaching staff, and the general public.
This session will be held on 20 January from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. During the session, the Secretary of the Education Department will listen to the issues directly and issue immediate instructions regarding their resolution.
Senior officials of the Education Department, along with the concerned District Education Officers, will also participate in the session.
All concerned individuals are requested to submit their issues with clear and complete details, and it is mandatory to mention name, district, area, and a full description of the issue.
