Provincial Minister for Irrigation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Riaz Khan held a meeting with President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Malakand Division and Member of the National Assembly Sahibzada Sibghatullah. The meeting was also attended by Member of the Provincial Assembly Pir Musawir Khan, Member of the Provincial Assembly Gul Ibrahim Khan, Wazirzada, Chairman Zakat & Ushr District Swat Asif Ali Shahzad along with other senior party leaders and office-bearers. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on public issues faced by Malakand Division, ongoing and proposed development projects, improvement of the irrigation system, promotion of agriculture, public welfare, and party organizational matters. On the occasion, Wazirzada highlighted the issues faced by minority communities and briefed the Provincial Minister for Irrigation in detail about matters related to the government quota reserved for minorities, employment opportunities, educational facilities, and social protection. While speaking on minority rights, Provincial Minister Riaz Khan stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf firmly believes in the protection of the constitutional, legal, and social rights of minorities. He said that minority communities are equal partners in the country’s development, and the effective implementation of reserved quotas, employment, education, and other facilities for them will be ensured at all costs. He expressed his commitment to issuing immediate directions to the relevant departments to take prompt measures for resolving these issues. Detailed and purposeful consultations were also held with Members of the Provincial Assembly. Various aspects of public welfare, provision of basic facilities, and regional development were discussed openly. The Provincial Minister said that the proposals and recommendations of elected representatives are being given special importance in development planning so that projects aligned with public needs in every constituency can be completed in a timely and transparent manner. He added that the policy of delivering the fruits of development to the people’s doorstep is being pursued by taking all elected representatives along.
On this occasion, the Provincial Minister for Irrigation expressed serious concern over the sentences announced a day earlier against Founder Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, stating that Imran Khan is imprisoned not for personal interests or power, but for a better and sovereign country, the supremacy of law, true freedom, and a bright future. He said that Imran Khan’s only crime is his immense love for the country and his dream of a prosperous future for the nation. Riaz Khan further stated that on the directions of founder Chairman Imran Khan and under the leadership of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi, preparations are underway across the province for an organized and peaceful street movement. The objective of this movement is to raise a voice against injustice, secure Imran Khan’s release, and restore true democracy. He made it clear that PTI’s struggle will continue within the framework of the Constitution and the law, and no force can stop it.
The Provincial Minister concluded by saying that all elected representatives, workers, and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stand like a rock with their leader and will continue to raise their voices at every forum for public rights, the supremacy of the Constitution, and the rule of law.
