The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation, Riaz Khan, attended the closing ceremony of the football tournament final held at Jokhela Football Ground, district Buner, as the Chief Guest.
The event was attended by local elders, elected public representatives, sports personalities, young players, and a large number of sports lovers.
Following the final match, the Provincial Minister distributed trophies, medals, and prizes among the winning and runner up team and players for their outstanding performance . He also appreciated both finalist teams for displaying excellent sportsmanship and a high standard of football throughout the tournament.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Provincial Minister Mr Riaz Khan said that sports serve as an effective means of promoting the physical and mental development of young people while encouraging them to engage in positive and constructive activities.
He said that the promotion of sports is essential for the development of a healthy society and that the current KP government is taking practical measures to provide improved sports facilities for the youth across the province.
He added that the incumbent KP government remains committed to identifying and promoting young sporting talent and will continue to extend every possible support for the development of sports infrastructure so that young athletes can fully utilize their abilities and bring laurels to the province at both national and international levels.
Congratulating the organizers on the successful conduct of the tournament, the KP irrigation minister remarked that such healthy sports activities play a significant role in promoting social harmony, unity, brotherhood, and positive values within society. He urged the youth to devote their energies to education, sports, and other positive activities to become responsible citizens of the society.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants thanked provincial minister for his presence.
