وزیرِ صحت خیبرپختونخوا خلیق الرحمان کی زیرِ صدارت ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال نوشہرہ سے متعلق ایک اہم اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس منعقد ہوا۔ اجلاس میں رکن صوبائی اسمبلی محمد عمر کاکاخیل، سیکرٹری ہیلتھ، ایڈیشنل سیکرٹریز، پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹرز اور ایم ایس ڈی ایچ کیو نوشہرہ سمیت محکمہ صحت کے اعلیٰ حکام نے شرکت کی۔اجلاس میں ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال نوشہرہ کی مجموعی کارکردگی، درپیش مسائل اور عوام کو فراہم کی جانے والی طبی سہولیات کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا گیا۔ ہسپتال کی موجودہ صورتحال، مریضوں کے بوجھ، طبی عملے کی دستیابی اور بنیادی سہولیات کے معیار پر بھی جامع بریفنگ دی گئی۔وزیرِ صحت خلیق الرحمان کو ہسپتال کی عمارت کی موجودہ حالت اور اس کی بہتری کے لیے مجوزہ Revamping منصوبے پر بھی آگاہ کیا گیا۔ اجلاس میں ہسپتال کی نئی عمارت کی تعمیر، جدید طبی سہولیات کی فراہمی، اور مریضوں کے لیے بہتر ماحول کی فراہمی کے حوالے سے مختلف تجاویز پر غور کیا گیا۔خلیق الرحمان نے ہدایت جاری کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال نوشہرہ کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کیا جائے اور عوام کو معیاری طبی سہولیات کی فراہمی یقینی بنائی جائے۔ انہوں نے متعلقہ حکام کو تاکید کی کہ ہسپتال کی اپ گریڈیشن اور تعمیراتی منصوبوں کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر مکمل کیا جائے۔وزیرِ صحت نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ انشاءاللہ بہت جلد ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال نوشہرہ کی نئی عمارت کی تعمیر کی باقاعدہ منظوری دی جائے گی اور اس منصوبے پر عملی کام کا آغاز کیا جائے گا، تاکہ عوام کو بہتر اور جدید طبی سہولیات میسر آ سکیں۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ صوبائی حکومت صحت کے شعبے کی بہتری کے لیے بھرپور اقدامات کر رہی ہے اور تمام ضلعی ہسپتالوں کو جدید سہولیات سے آراستہ کیا جائے گا تاکہ عوام کو ان کے اپنے علاقوں میں بہترین علاج کی سہولت فراہم ہو۔

کمشنر ہزارہ ڈویژن فیاض علی شاہ نے کمشنر ہاؤس ایبٹ آباد میں پودا لگا کر شجرکاری مہم کا باقاعدہ آغاز کیا۔ اس موقع پر کنزرویٹر آف فاریسٹ، سیکرٹری ٹو کمشنر، اسسٹنٹ کمشنرز (ریونیو و پولیٹیکل) اور محکمہ جنگلات کے نمائندگان بھی موجود تھے۔کمشنر ہزارہ نے تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ شجرکاری ماحولیاتی تحفظ، موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے اثرات میں کمی اور آنے والی نسلوں کے محفوظ مستقبل کے لیے نہایت اہم ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ درخت لگانا صدقہ جاریہ ہے اور ہر شہری کو اس قومی فریضے میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لینا چاہیے۔انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ جاری شجرکاری مہم کے دوران زیادہ سے زیادہ پودے لگائیں اور ان کی مناسب دیکھ بھال کو بھی یقینی بنائیں تاکہ یہ مہم دیرپا اور مؤثر نتائج دے سکے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ صرف پودے لگانا کافی نہیں بلکہ ان کی حفاظت اور افزائش بھی یکساں اہم ہے۔کمشنر ہزارہ نے ہدایت کی کہ محکمہ جنگلات کے ساتھ مل کر ڈویژنل سطح پر ایک جامع منصوبہ تشکیل دیا جائے، جس کے تحت پورے ہزارہ ڈویژن میں شجرکاری مہم کو مؤثر انداز میں شروع کیا جائے۔ اس سلسلے میں ایک مخصوص مقام (پیچ) کی نشاندہی بھی کی جائے جہاں یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ کے تعاون سے بڑے پیمانے پر پودے لگائے جائیں۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ شجرکاری مہم کو کامیاب بنانے، اہداف کے حصول کو یقینی بنایا جائے اور مربوط حکمت عملی کے تحت اقدامات کیے جائیں۔آخر میں انہوں نے کہا کہ تمام ادارے باہمی تعاون سے شجرکاری کو فروغ دیں اور عوام میں اس حوالے سے شعور اجاگر کریں تاکہ خطہ ہزارہ کو سرسبز و شاداب بنایا جا سکے

محکمہ ایکسائز، ٹیکسیشن و نارکوٹکس کنٹرول خیبر پختونخوا کی جانب سے ٹیکس نادہندگان کے خلاف جاری مہم کے تحت ضلع مردان اور کوہاٹ میں کارروائیاں کرتے ہوئے متعدد پراپرٹی یونٹس سیل کر دیے گئے۔محکمہ سے موصولہ تفصیلات کے مطابق، ایکسائز اینڈ ٹیکسیشن آفیسر مردان محمد خالد کی نگرانی میں تحصیل تخت بھائی میں ٹیکس نادہندگان کے خلاف کارروائی عمل میں لائی گئی جس کے دوران متعدد ڈیفالٹر پراپرٹی یونٹس کو سیل کیا گیا۔دوسری جانب ضلع کوہاٹ میں بھی ایکسائز اینڈ ٹیکسیشن آفیسر رحمان الدین کی ہدایت پر بڑے ٹیکس نادہندگان کے خلاف خصوصی مہم جاری ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں ٹیکس واجبات کی وصولی کے لیے خصوصی ٹیمیں تشکیل دی گئی ہیں۔محکمہ کے مطابق متعدد بار نوٹس جاری کرنے کے باوجود ٹیکس واجبات ادا نہ کرنے والے نادہندگان کے خلاف قانونی کارروائیاں عمل میں لائی جا رہی ہیں۔ اسی تناظر میں کوہاٹ کے وارڈ نمبر 1، 3 اور 5 میں کارروائی کے دوران متعدد ٹیکس نادہندہ یونٹس کو سیل کر دیا گیا۔محکمہ ایکسائز نے جائیداد مالکان کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ اپنے ٹیکس واجبات بروقت ادا کریں تاکہ قانونی کارروائی اور ممکنہ مشکلات سے بچا جا سکے

وزیر بلدیات، انتخابات و دیہی ترقی حکومت خیبر پختونخوا نے کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف نے بلین ٹری سونامی اور ٹین بلین ٹری پروگرام جیسے ماحول دوست اقدامات کے ذریعے ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور بحالی کے لیے ایک مؤثر قومی مثال قائم کی ہے۔
انہوں نے یہ بات حیات آباد میں زیرِ تعمیر باغِ ناران ایکسٹینشن پارک میں پودا لگا کر شجرکاری مہم کا افتتاح کرتے ہوئے کہی۔ انہوں نے موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے بڑھتے ہوئے خطرات پر تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وقت کے ساتھ یہ مسئلہ شدت اختیار کر رہا ہے، اور اس کا سب سے مؤثر حل اجتماعی کوششوں میں مضمر ہے۔ ہر شہری کی ذمہ داری بنتی ہے کہ وہ ماحول کے تحفظ اور اس کے اثرات کو کم کرنے کے لیے کم از کم ایک درخت ضرور لگائے۔
وزیر نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ باغِ ناران جیسے منصوبے محض تفریحی مقامات نہیں بلکہ شہری جنگلات کو فروغ دینا ہے جس کا مقصد شہروں کے ماحولیاتی نظام کو بہتر بنانا ہے۔ اس طرح کے اقدامات شہری درجہ حرارت میں کمی، فضائی آلودگی میں بہتری، زیرِ زمین پانی کی بحالی اور پرندوں و دیگر حیات کے لیے مسکن فراہم کرنے میں مدد دیتے ہیں، یوں کنکریٹ کے پھیلتے ہوئے جنگل میں زندگی کی نئی رمق پیدا کرتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ شہری جنگلات عوامی صحت پر بھی مثبت اثرات مرتب کرتے ہیں۔ سبزہ زاروں تک رسائی ذہنی دباؤ میں کمی، ذہنی سکون میں اضافہ اور جسمانی سرگرمیوں کے فروغ کا باعث بنتی ہے، خصوصاً گنجان آباد شہری علاقوں میں۔ پشاور جیسے شہر میں، جہاں تیزی سے بڑھتی ہوئی شہری آبادی قدرتی وسائل پر دباؤ ڈال رہی ہے، باغِ ناران جیسے منصوبے شہریوں کے لیے تازہ ہوا کا جھونکا ثابت ہوتے ہیں۔ سماجی پہلو کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اچھی منصوبہ بندی کے تحت بنائے گئے عوامی پارکس صنفی شمولیت کو فروغ دیتے ہیں، جہاں خواتین، بچوں اور خاندانوں کے لیے محفوظ اور قابلِ رسائی ماحول فراہم کیا جاتا ہے۔ ایسے مقامات خواتین کی عوامی زندگی میں شرکت بڑھانے، سماجی روابط کو مضبوط کرنے اور معاشرتی ہم آہنگی کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان عالمی گرین ہاؤس گیسوں کے اخراج میں نہایت کم حصہ ڈالنے کے باوجود موسمیاتی تبدیلی سے سب سے زیادہ متاثر ہونے والے ممالک میں شامل ہے، جہاں بار بار آنے والے سیلاب، گلیشیئرز کے تیزی سے پگھلنے اور دیگر ماحولیاتی خطرات میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔ اس تناظر میں شہری جنگلات کا فروغ محض ایک ماحولیاتی اقدام نہیں بلکہ مستقبل کے لیے ناگزیر حکمتِ عملی ہے

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFS&HFA) took immediate notice of food poisoning reports circulating on social media and carried out a prompt operation in Haripur.
According to a spokesperson, the food safety team, in coordination with the district administration, conducted a joint operation and visited the affected area to assess the situation. The team also visited the Trauma Center Haripur, where they met with the affected individuals and gathered details about the incident.
Further action was taken as the food safety team raided a food outlet, “Shahi Pizza,” located in a shopping area. During the inspection, extremely poor hygiene conditions were observed in the kitchen.
Officials reported that stale chicken, expired cold drinks, and substandard as well as mislabelled food items were recovered and taken into official custody. In light of serious violations, the outlet was sealed on the spot, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the owner.
Director General KP Food Authority, Kashif Iqbal Jillani, appreciated the team’s prompt action and reiterated that no leniency would be shown to those endangering public health. He further emphasized that strict enforcement actions will continue across the province to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan on Wednesday distributed appointment letters among the newly recruited tube-well operators-cum-chowkidars belonging to district Tank. The ceremony was held at the Minister’s office in Peshawar, where the Additional Secretary, Chief Engineers, and other concerned officers of the PHE department were also present.

Addressing the ceremony after distributing the appointment letters, the Provincial Minister said that government employees are servants of the public and bear to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

He added that the KP government is taking comprehensive measures to provide basic facilities to the people and the Public Health Engineering department is playing a vital role in this regard.

The Provincial Minister directed the newly recruited tube-well operators-cum-chowkidars to perform their responsibilities with sincerity and ensure the provision of clean drinking water to the public at all costs. He emphasized that the supply of safe drinking water is among the top priorities of the government and that any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.

Fazal Shakoor Khan further said that government institutions are established to provide quality services to the public, therefore, all officials must fulfill their duties with a spirit of public service and contribute towards improving the overall performance of the department.

The Provincial Minister congratulated the newly recruited employees and expressed his best wishes for their future. He expressed hope that the new appointees would, through their hard work, honesty, and dedication, positively contribute to enhancing the department’s performance and ensuring better service delivery to the public.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan, has said that a comprehensive strategy has been devised to monitor matriculation examination halls. Under this plan, 3,520 examination halls will be monitored on a daily basis, and approximately 750 monitors will visit examination centers every day.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Monitoring Authority held in Peshawar in connection with the matriculation examinations. On this occasion, Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid, Special Secretary Iftikhar Ali Khan, Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Monitoring Authority Manzoor Afridi, and other officials were also present.
The meeting reviewed in detail the preparations for the matriculation examinations and measures to ensure their transparent and fair conduct. Important decisions were taken to provide maximum ease and facilities to students across the province. These include ensuring the availability of electricity and proper lighting in examination halls, maintaining appropriate distance between students, provision of clean drinking water, and availability of furniture and chairs.
Similarly, the number of invigilating staff, functionality of CCTV cameras, monitoring of unauthorized persons around examination centers, and prevention of prohibited materials will also be ensured. In case of serious violations, immediate alerts will be issued through the dashboard system.

خیبرپختونخوا حکومت حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کے مقررہ اہداف کے حصول کی جانب بتدریج کامیابی سے پیش رفت کر رہی ہے۔ فروری 2026 کے دوران صوبے میں توسیعی پروگرام برائے حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات (ای پی آئی) کے تحت 74 فیصد بچوں کو ویکسین لگائی گئی۔حکام کے مطابق یہ پیش رفت صوبائی حکومت کے صحت کے نظام کو مضبوط بنانے اور عوام کو بنیادی سہولیات کی فراہمی کے عزم کی عکاسی کرتی ہے۔
چیف سیکرٹری خیبرپختونخوا شہاب علی شاہ نے پروگرام کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیتے ہوئے اطمینان کا اظہار کیا اور کہا کہ حکومت حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کی کوریج مزید بہتر بنانے کیلئے پرعزم ہے۔اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ ای پی آئی پروگرام کا ہدف 2027 تک 90 فیصد بچوں کو حفاظتی ٹیکے لگانا ہے تاکہ انہیں قابلِ انسداد بیماریوں سے محفوظ بنایا جا سکے۔مزید بتایا گیا کہ فروری کے دوران معمول کے حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کی سہولیات تک رسائی میں نمایاں بہتری آئی ہے اور 81 فیصد آبادی تک رسائی حاصل کی گئی، جو اب تک کی بلند ترین سطح ہے۔پروگرام کی بہتری کیلئے مختلف اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں، جن میں 830 نئے ویکسینیٹرز کی بھرتی اور تحصیل و ضلع سطح پر سپروائزرز کے کردار کو مستحکم کرنا شامل ہے تاکہ کارکردگی میں اضافہ ہو۔اجلاس کو مزید بتایا گیا کہ نگرانی کے نظام کو مضبوط بنایا گیا ہے، جس کے تحت باقاعدہ مانیٹرنگ، ہفتہ وار رپورٹنگ اور بہترین کارکردگی دکھانے والے عملے کیلئے مراعات متعارف کرائی گئی ہیں۔حکام کا کہنا تھا کہ بہتر نگرانی، فیلڈ میں سہولیات کی فراہمی اور جدید کارڈ سسٹم کے نفاذ سے ویکسینیٹرز کی کارکردگی میں نمایاں بہتری آئی ہے، جبکہ نظام کو بہتر احتساب کے لئے کارکردگی سے مشروط کیا جا رہا ہے۔محکمہ صحت کے حکام

PESHAWAR: In a landmark environmental initiative, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is set to celebrate Pakistan Day on March 23, 2026, not just with patriotic fervor, but with a tangible commitment to the province’s ecological future. Officials have announced a massive, province-wide plantation drive aimed at planting one million saplings in a single day.

The ambitious campaign, launched under the flagship “Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” vision, seeks to transform the national holiday into a day of collective environmental action. According to details released by the Provincial Forest Department, the plantation drive will span all districts of the province, from the urban centers of Peshawar and Abbottabad to the remote forests of Chitral and the southern districts of Dera Ismail Khan.

The initiative comes as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to grapple with the severe impacts of climate change, including erratic weather patterns, glacial melting in the north, and increasing smog levels in urban areas. By focusing on indigenous species such as deodar, pine, and kikar, as well as fruit trees to support local communities, the government aims to increase forest cover, combat air pollution, and provide long-term economic benefits to residents.

“Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not a slogan; it is a strategic response to an existential threat,” a government spokesperson added. “By involving students, farmers, and local communities in this effort, we are fostering a sense of ownership over our natural resources. One million trees in one day sends a powerful message that we are serious about protecting our future.”

Authorities have urged citizens to participate actively. Designated plantation points will be set up near major public parks, highways, and riverbanks, where local administration officials will assist volunteers. Special focus is being placed on educational institutions, with schools and universities across the province allotted specific targets to instill environmental stewardship among the youth.

Environmental experts have welcomed the move, noting that while plantation drives are crucial, long-term success depends on post-planting care and protection from encroachment. In response, the government has assured that monitoring teams will be deployed to oversee the growth of the saplings and that measures are in place to prevent logging and grazing damage in sensitive areas.

As Pakistan Day approaches, the KP government has framed the initiative as a tribute to the nation’s founders—one that honors the land as much as the ideology of Pakistan. With the province bracing for another hot summer and ongoing concerns over air quality, officials remain optimistic that this green gesture will provide lasting shade and cleaner air for generations to come.
