Advisor to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Health, Lieutenant General (Retired) Nigar Johar, has stated that the Sehat Insaf Card is providing significant benefits to the public by facilitating access to healthcare services. She emphasized that the continuity of this important public welfare initiative must be maintained and its effectiveness further strengthened.
She expressed these views while chairing a meeting on the Sehat Insaf Card Programme, during which its administrative and financial affairs were reviewed.
The Advisor stated that the Sehat Insaf Card is an important means of helping people access medical treatment and healthcare facilities. She emphasized that the provision of services to beneficiaries should continue, while financial transparency and accountability must also be ensured at every level.
Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Nigar Johar directed that a comprehensive audit of the Sehat Insaf Card Programme be conducted to thoroughly examine its financial affairs and ensure that public funds are being utilized in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations. She stressed that effective monitoring and transparent accountability are essential to prevent any financial irregularities or misappropriation as it’s the money of public.
She further stated that public funds are a trust and must be utilized responsibly, transparently, and with full accountability. To maintain the effectiveness of public welfare initiatives such as the Sehat Insaf Card, it is essential to strengthen financial oversight and keep the public interest at the forefront.
